Before Colour.

I have started a book collection. Not reading books, picture books, you know those sophisticated books you would find on an artists book shelf. I only have about 10 so far, but I got a couple of new ones for my birthday one of which was called Before Colour, by William Eggleston. It is essentially a book of really beautiful black and white photos. Anyway so I thought I would show you a few of my favourites...

It has come to my attention that it has been far too long since I last posted about my clothes. I have to admit I had a bit of a dress/ skirt spree over christmas. Deptford Goth.

Life has been quite odd recently. I have had so much to do and nothing to do at the same time. Seems strange but it does make sense. Anyway yesterday was my Birthday. I am now officially 18. An adult I think this makes me. To be honest I feel exactly the same. I haven't even been able to test any of my new 'abilities' yet. It was great though. Its quite nice being at school for it in a way, makes you feel like you have loads of friends haha. My parents came to visit too which was awesome, and I got a new guitar! Such a surprise! She is so beautiful and the sound is something else...still trying to come up with a name for her, feel free to comment any suggestions! My other one is called Finair....I know, bit random but I have always liked it as a name.

Anyway the point of this post isn't to blab about all that really, it is in fact to tell you about this artist I love. I have been listening to him since the beginning of last summer. It came to my attention recently though that he really isn't well known enough so I thought I would make a start about telling you.

His music is quite mellow. Can be sad. But I like it for those kinds of moods. It makes me want to sit in silence and just listen to my thoughts.

The first song of his I heard was Feel Real...

One of his most recent songs is called Objects Objects, I think it came out in December, I really love this one and I think it is going to become one of my most favourites...

Im not sure if this is everyones cup of tea, but let me know if you like it.

Roller Skater.

Ok so I just saw this film on youtube...I just couldn't resist showing you all because it is SO AWESOME! These girls are like insane. Roller skating is just the coolest thing. If you can roller skate you are my hero. I wish I was you.

Watch in awe...

This kind of reminds me of the film Whip it...I know I have talked about it before here, probably a lot. But god I wish I could roller skate!

Hope you like.

In Wonderland.

It has been a while. Sorry about that. I have been busying around frantically doing all sorts of university applications and portfolios. Christmas went by like a blur, and now I am back at school and I have that horrid feeling, when you return and it feels like you never left.
So whilst sitting in my new room at my new desk wondering what I could do to make me feel more at home, writing to you seemed the best remedy.
This post is about a party I threw at home on Saturday. My 18th Birthday party to be precise. Even though its not actually until the 21st, but it seemed easier to celebrate in the holidays. The theme was Alice in a Winter Wonderland, (I though it was nice to give it a Christmasy twist). My parents and I spent about a week preparing all the decorations, we turned one room into an upside down forrest, which looked so cool that its still there, and I bet it will stay at least another two years. So anyway I will stop with the talking now and show you the eye candy...

The upside down forrest.

The helpful duo.

Cooking...and my mum dressed as a gardener (don't ask!).
